Power and motorboats

SLYC boasts a variety of motorboats, including RIBs, merryfishers, dayboats and larger motorcruisers. With ease of access via our slipways, or via mooring, boats are actively used to explore the Lough (and further), go fishing or to spectate the racing. The class also arrange “cruise in company” events during the season to socialise with one another.

For those looking to gain more experience in motorboats, or for those thinking about purchasing one, we would strongly recommend the RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification. More details about this can be found here.
