Sunday Sailing
SLYC’s 2026 Sunday Sailing School will run from May 3rd to August 30th (except for 17thMay/28thJune/12th July/24th July/23rd August)
It is primarily aimed at children aged 7-15 and aims to introduce the sport of sailing and develop some basic skills.
There are separate booking forms each week. To book, a link will be sent out 6 days ahead of each session on the Sunday sailing WhatsApp group. Please contact Heather Gilmore, training@slyc.co uk (training captain) or the office to join this group.
The link is sent out 7 days in advance to those who have offered to volunteer on a particular date.
There are 30 slots per week. It’s a very popular club activity!
It costs £12/week. This includes rescue, sailing instructing, use of club equipment and a hot dog!
Each session is from 10.00 am to 12.30pm.
Non-members are especially welcome to come and give sailing a go. Please note after 3 weeks of attendance you will be asked to become a member of the club.
