The UK National Championship runs over four days: three races per day for the first three days, and then a single final race on the fourth day, his allows competitors who will be travelling to Ireland for the event to travel home for the following Monday morning. Each race lasts 45-60 minutes. As has already been mentioned, it is not just the racing that encompasses a UK National Championship event, the post-racing activities will be of the highest order!
Friends and family members of competitors are very welcome to travel to the event and enjoy the local hospitality and onshore activities.

The proposed itinerary is as follows:
Tuesday 27th June
Boat set up day and launching in the morning/afternoon
Competitors will collect their welcome packs and “goodie bags” which will have information on the sponsors and useful and local gifts.
Dinner in SLYC club house with traditional Irish music
Wednesday 28th June
Competitor briefing in SLYC club house
Races 1-3
Daily prize giving from event sponsor/s after racing, with refreshments and snacks for competitors at SLYC clubhouse
Dinner onboard the Lightship “Petrel” in Ballydorn Bay, with jazz music on deck beforehand
Thursday 29 th June
Races 4-6
Daily prize giving from event sponsor after racing, with refreshments and snacks for competitors at SLYC clubhouse
Dinner at local restaurant “Daft Eddy’s”
Friday 30th June
Races 7-9
Daily prize giving from event sponsor after racing, with refreshments and snacks for competitors at SLYC clubhouse
Gala dinner at SLYC with traditional Irish dancing

Craning out of boats
