Winter Craning & Storage
Winter Craning out and storage Plans – 2017
Because of tides (or the lack of them) this year, craning out will have to be split over two weekends.
First day will be Sunday 8th October and the next day will be Sunday 22nd October and Monday 23rd October, after the last Frostie series round. Availability for the 8th October will be on a first come, first served basis.
As last year, there will be a £50 non returnable winter storage deposit payable on booking. Please can you ensure that all bookings are in for the end of August to allow for planning.
Craning will cost £2.50 per foot for all boats, cash payable on the day as in previous years. Winter storage will cost £9.25 for boats on trailers and £10.25 for boats not on trailers (I.E. Cradles or chocks etc.)
The Club is not insisting on masts being taken down this year, but owners will be responsible for ensuring their boats have a bolt rope in the mast slot and halyards removed or tied back to minimise noise.
The direct cost of having the mast removed by crane is £25 per 15 minutes of crane use, with a minimum of £25.
No charge if stored on boat.
£0.50 per foot if stored off a boat winter stored at the Club.
£2.50 per foot if stored off a boat not winter stored at the Club.
For your information.
Provisional date for Craning in 2018 is Monday 16th April, Tuesday 17th April and Wednesday 18th April
